Attacking Strategy

You are looking for a reaction from your opponent when you attack

Where Should I attack?

  • Open Court – this can be in between opponents, behind them or in front of them

    • In front of them is often forgotten about

  • At the person straight across from you

    • Attacking cross court sets your partner up for failure

    • Pick a fight you are going to finish and attack straight on

  • The opponent that is least balance and in position

    • Capitalize on weakness on the opposite side of the net

When Should I attack?

  • If you can contact HIGH – make them cry!  If you are contacting low – go slow!

  • When you are balanced and in position

    • Always be ready for the attack to come back!

    • Be ready, balanced and in position

  • When your opponents are out of position or off balance
